resources to businesses and entrepreneurs to help throughout
their development, to help address needs and challenges.

Small Business Development Centers (SBDC)

Free one-on-one assistance with business planning, marketing, financial management skills and technology transfer are just a few of the ways they can help to improve the viability of your small business.

Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition (SCWBEC)

SCWBEC provides WBEs with the tools to compete for government and corporate contracts; mentors new WBEs; and creates networking/sales opportunities for coalition members. The group operates under the auspices of the Suffolk County Executive, and holds monthly meetings and annual events.

Empire State Development

Empire State Development (ESD) is New York State’s primary agent for economic development, dedicated to making New York the most compelling place in which to live, work and do business.

Minority and Woman-owned Certification

Women Presidents’ Educational Organization is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization that acts as the regional partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). We are a coalition of corporations, regionally focused women’s business organizations and certified women business owners.

SCORE

Retired executives offer free help with starting and running a business. A resource partner of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA).

 

Long Island Development Corporation

Long Island Development Corporation (LIDC) is part of a 501C3 not-for-profit economic development family providing a variety of low cost loan programs and free technical assistance to help businesses and not-for-profit organizations in New York, concentrating on Long Island.

The Long Island Advancement of Small Business (LIASB)

The Long Island Advancement of Small Business helps small business owners on Long Island by providing informative, entertaining seminars that arm the small business owner with the tools necessary to compete with “Big Business”.
